Smart Clip runs quietly in the system tray — no setup needed after install

Smart Clip starts automatically with Windows. It runs in the background from the moment it’s installed — you don’t need to open it before copying.

How to Copy

No new habits needed — just use Ctrl+C as always.

  1. Select the text, image, or content you want to save.
  2. Press Ctrl+C as usual.
  3. Smart Clip saves it automatically — nothing else to do.
Smart Clip saves text, links, HTML, code, images, and screenshots — everything you copy with Ctrl+C is captured automatically.

The Clip Panel

Press Ctrl+Q to open your clipboard list instantly — on top of any window, without losing focus.

The Clip Panel appears over any open app. Place your cursor where you want to paste, then open the panel and pick your item.

  1. Click where you want to paste (in any app, browser, or document).
  2. Press Ctrl+Q — and keep holding Ctrl to keep the panel open.
  3. Release Q, then press Q again or use to navigate the list, or click with the mouse.
  4. Release Ctrl — the selected item pastes instantly and the panel closes.
The most recently copied item is always at the top of the list — one keypress away.

  1. Press Ctrl+Q to open the Clip Panel.
  2. Click the pin button near the close button (top-right of the panel).
  3. The panel stays open — release Ctrl freely.
