Desktop Timer: Features and Functions
The Desktop Timer is a small pop-up window that remains visible over other windows, showing the duration of your work while time tracking is active. Use it to view the total time you’ve spent on your computer today, providing a clear display of your work duration.
You can adjust its visibility in the Desktop Client:
- Access the Smart Time Tracker desktop client by clicking on the tray icon.
- Choose the desktop timer’s visibility by changing the 'Show timer on top' option:
Always: Keeps the timer always visible at the top.
On Activity Switch: The timer appears for a few seconds when switching between activities, then vanishes.
Never: Completely hides the timer from view. - The timer has 3 views: complete, average, and minimum. To change the view, double-click the timer.
